Waynesboro, VA — Caissons Varsity Soccer (5-6) hosted Holy Cross on Anderson Field on a breezy, clear, mild Tuesday afternoon.
Captain Hamed Al Hinai (Senior; Vienna, VA) struck first from the left post in the 28th minute. Defender Dylan Palmer (Senior; Mercersburg, PA) scored off of a one-touch rebound in the 29th from in front of the opponent goal. The opponents would respond with a goal in the 33rd. Keeper Colby Brown (Junior; Stuarts Draft, VA) saved two in the first half.
The opponents opened the second half with a strike in the 51st. Midfielder Haoliang Han (Junior; Beijing, China) scored solo from the left post in the 63rd. The final goal was a long assist from the halfline by Midfielder Harley Mace (Senior; Grottoes, VA) leading Captain Al Hinai on the left who then netted it in the 79th. The match ended with one minute of stoppage.
Keeper Brown saved two more in the second.
The Caissons will travel to Miller on Thursday and Carlisle on Friday for their final two matches.
